This includes risk assessments, hazard identification and the implementation and monitoring of effective controls. The position ensures that activities meet safety and regulatory obligations and ensures that risks are integrated into decision making. About You "The ideal candidate will have extensive experience coordinating risk management activities for a highly regulated operational environment. They will be a highly motivated person with a proven ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders to meet safety and compliance obligations"- Rachael Shepherd, Business Operations Leader, Waste Management Services. Your Duties and Responsibilities Set the strategy for, and lead the development, implementation and continual improvement of Waste Management Services'' safety caseDeliver high quality risk assessments for continuous improvement activities, breakdown repair, emergency activities and changes driven through Waste Management Services or other capital projects to ensure that all safety and operational impacts of the proposed changes are considered and implemented to time and budgetEstablish and improve oversight of the monitoring and assurance system for hazard controlsProvide strategic input and analysis on radioactive waste issues to management and the ANSTO Board as well as to external regulators and other government departments.
