Role Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Medical Receptionist to join our growing healthcare team at Carnes Hill Doctors. In this role, you will work at the front desk of our medical clinic and assist our patients and visitors. Your primary duties include greeting and checking in patients, answering questions, collecting patient copays, processing paperwork, and scheduling appointments. You will also help keep our records and work areas clean and organized, and ensure the office provides a welcoming environment for our patients. Key Responsibilities Open and close the clinic as per procedure Greet patients and callers professionally and courteously Schedule appointments and manage appointment calendars Ensure medical records are managed confidentially and efficiently Accurately process patient payments via cash, EFTPOS, and direct bill transactions Invoice Medicare, Private Health Funds, TAC, and WorkCover Apply knowledge of the MBS schedule and correct billing procedures Deal with referring doctors, hospital staff, pharmacists and others courteously and helpfully Respond to patient enquiries Check and handle internal emails Cover staff absences on holidays and sick leave by filling roster entries Maintain reception waiting area and consulting rooms tidy, including spill cleanup when necessary Store and retrieve patient and practice records accurately, including scanning, faxing and filing Maintain confidentiality of patient personal and financial information at all times Complete recall arrangements Support daytoday operations of the medical centre Demonstrate exceptional customer service and teamwork skills Selection Criteria Demonstrated ability to work in a team Experience with medical software (BEST PRACTICE / MEDICAL DIRECTOR) Strong organisational and problemsolving skills Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, including multitasking Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with internal and external stakeholders Demonstrated commitment to quality patient service At least one year of experience as a Medical Receptionist in a medical practice Additional Requirements Current Police Check Current Working with Children clearance Current First Aid / CPR certificate Immunisation Record Driving Licence / Photo ID Job Types: Casual Salary: Remuneration will be negotiated based on experience Expected Start Date: as soon as possible Apply by sending your resume to #J-18808-Ljbffr
