This position will be shared between two sites: the Department of Genetics of the DHM main laboratory, Macquarie Park, and the Randwick Genetics Laboratory of NSW Health Pathology, in Randwick. These departments collectively perform a wide range of clinical genetic tests in predictive, carrier, diagnostic and pharmacogenetic contextsThis role is a full-time fixed-term 6-month position, commencing in August 2026. Terms and conditions are negotiable, and requests for part-time working arrangements and flexible start dates will be considered.Primary roles of this position may include gaining knowledge and understanding of the principles underpinning clinical genetics, the performance of laboratory genetic tests, the interpretation and reporting of test results, validation and implementation of new testing methodologies, and liaison with referring clinicians. The precise duties will depend on the experience and knowledge of the successful candidate.
