We are looking for a Cluster Security Manager for our private cloud infrastructure in Australia. The ideal candidate has experience managing the security of large critical installations, preferably data centres; has professional experience managing diverse teams; and can set strategy, manage budgets, lead projects, and drive improvements in security practices and operations. You will lead a team of security experts and uniformed security officers, managing the daytoday security of our data centres and working with customers and AWS teams to develop new processes, deploy technology, and continuously improve security. You will develop, track, and drive key security metrics, oversee cleared and uncovered vendors, contractors, and employees, and engage with senior leadership across AWS and our customers. Key Job Responsibilities Oversee and manage physical security operations for all data centre sites within the assigned region Manage the strategic operations of security vendors providing services, training, and risk assessments, including oversight of contract guard force operations Lead and oversee investigations for security incidents, policy violations, and other securityrelated matters Manage access control systems and processes, ensuring proper implementation and adherence to Amazon policies and compliance requirements Oversee the development and implementation of security plans for unique security situations Conduct data analysis and create benchmarking metrics to support risk assessments, identify threats, and report security performance indicators Manage security audits, incident reporting, and metrics reporting to leadership, providing visibility into security programme effectiveness Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance security and safety outcomes across the region Deliver projects on schedule and within budget constraints while maintaining security standards and operational requirements A Day in the Life The incumbent ensures the security team is set up for success by providing clear guidance and direction, the necessary resources, and support for employee career development. The role requires continuous coordination with stakeholders in Operations, HR, Logistics, Design & Engineering, and Construction to synchronize security services with other business processes. Strong hiring commitment is essential to find the right candidate for demanding roles in a tight labour market. Basic Qualifications Experience with physical security control and surveillance systems Experience in written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely to executives and nontechnical leaders Demonstrated track record of growth and increasing responsibility, including leadership positions that require maturity, judgement, negotiation, analytics, and influence skills Preferred Qualifications Experience as a strong leader who can prioritise well, communicate clearly and effectively, and influence across crossfunctional teams Ability to manage regionally distributed 24x7 operations to include shortnotice response to emerging operational issues Ability to credibly coordinate between technical teams and business stakeholders Acknowledgement Of Country In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
