The Sexual Assault Counsellor is responsible for the provision of integrated counselling and case management services to children, young persons and adults who are victims of sexual assault and their non-offending family members, including the provision of crisis counselling & support and facilitation of forensic/medical services as required as well as services to children under ten with problematic harmful sexual behaviours. Qualifications Full registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist who has completed 9 years of service as a minimum or tertiary qualifications in Social Work and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and post graduate experience at a minimum of level 2 or above. Applicants must be Female Under Section 31 (2) (h) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977. Extensive specialist knowledge of child protection, the dynamics and impacts of sexual assault and relevant legal processes. Extensive post graduate experience in crisis intervention, case management and client centred advocacy and counselling intervention using a trauma frameworks.
