About The Role The Clinical Nurse Consultant (Grade 1) Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Hospital Consultation and Liaison is responsible for providing expert clinical advice to clients, carers and other health professionals with complex health care needs within the AOD Service. The Consultant is a clinical expert who, through leadership, facilitates excellence in researchbased clinical practice, education, research and professional leadership. Using innovative, evidencebased skills and interventions, you will professionally support individuals seeking assistance with alcohol and drug use. You will take a traumainformed approach and provide respectful, personcentred care, tailored to each individuals needs. Central to your role will be employing an individualised, holistic approach to care, incorporating comprehensive care planning to address the diverse physical, emotional, and social aspects of each persons journey. A nursing role in the alcohol and other drugs sector offers mentally stimulating work and provides a high level of autonomy and empowerment.
