Spearheading a whole-of-government approach to visitor economy growth, Destination NSW influences and shapes the visitor economy through strategic research, policy and thought leadership, stakeholder engagement and consultation, commercial partnerships and investment in visitor experiences, business support,marketingand events. Destination NSW is also the major investor in Business Events Sydney (BESydney) for the purpose of securing more international and domestic conventions, incentive travel reward programs, corporateeventsand exhibitions. About the role As a Senior Analyst within the Data, Operations and Reporting team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the insights that drive strategic decision-making across Destination NSW (DNSW).This role will lead complex analysis, uncover meaningful trends, and translate data into clear narratives that influence programs, policydirectionand investment within the visitor economy. A key challenge for this role is working across diverse tourism datasets to deliver high-quality reports, snapshots,briefingsand presentations for stakeholders at all levels. This role is a trusted advisor on tourism data,providingexpert guidance onemergingtrends and contributing to the development of research publications that support DNSWs strategicobjectives. Essential Requirements Tertiary qualifications in statistics, economics,finance,marketing, business administrationor equivalent anddemonstratedexperiencein market researchor market consultancy. Advancedproficiencyin at least one data analytics language (e.g., SQL or Python) and one datamanipulation / visualization tool (e.g., Power Query or Power BI), enabling the independent design,automation, and delivery of interactive dashboards directly from large-scale raw data sources.
