Group Operations Manager (5 Locations) Tamworth Based TNS Canteen Services is looking for a capable, people-first Group Operations Manager to help lead and coordinate operations across our 5 locations (a mix of school canteens and bistros). This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who can keep standards high, support managers and teams, and help the business run smoothly day-to-day with support from the Director. Location - Based in Tamworth, with travel between locations required What youll be doing - Management of staff and day-to-day operations across 5 locations (with Director support) - Assisting with Rostering and coordinating coverage for leave and busy periods - Banking and daily/weekly cash handling processes - Compliance & food safety oversight (checks, training refreshers, audits) - Cost control (wastage reduction, portion control, menu/process efficiency) - Reporting (weekly KPI snapshot: sales, labour %, issues, wins) - Process improvement (standardising systems across sites) - Customer/school liaison (handling escalations, relationship management) - Performance management (coaching, feedback, addressing issues early) - Supporting recruitment/onboarding as needed Hours & employment type - Part-Time - 30 hours per week - Overtime paid (if youre required to fill in for sick days/urgent coverage) Pay & benefits - Competitive base wage to be negotiated - Travel allowance paid for travel between locations - Laptop and phone provided - Commission available for reaching monthly targets (achievable targets, not unrealistic) What were looking for - Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) - required in our school locations - Current drivers licence (required) - Previous management experience - Previous experience managing a team - Commercial kitchen experience desirable - Strong organisation, reliability, and the ability to work across multiple locations Start - Immediate start Job Type: Permanent Pay: $70,000.00 $90,000.00 per year Benefits: Employee discount Travel reimbursement Education: High School (Year 12) (Preferred) Experience: Management: 1 year (Required) Licence/Certification: Working with Children Check (Required) Full Driver Licence (Required) Location: Tamworth NSW (Required) Work Location: On the road Application Deadline: 07/05/2026
