Teacher of Animal Care - Paid to Learn Campus Location: National Environment Centre - Thurgoona 1 x permanent part-time (0.4 FTE 14 hours per week) Package range: $111,798 - $132,585. Package includes salary ($98,499-$116,813 per annum paid pro-rata) employer''s superannuation and annual leave loading. (Salary offered will be based on experience). About the role Were seeking world-class educators to inspire the next generation of Agricultural and Animal Care students by joining our team of teachers on a permanent part-time basis located at the National Environment Centre, Thurgoona Campus. To find out more about the role, click to view the Role Description Essential Requirements: Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications with a minimum level of Certificate II in Animal Care. Evidence of holding the appropriate teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and Training (see the candidate support document (here) for details) OR a willingness to undertake our full time 14 week ''Paid to Learn'' course. Have a minimum of three (3) years post qualification experience in animal care gained no longer than five (5) years previously. Highly regarded but not essential: Certificate II or above in Agriculture 2 or more years experience in the Agriculture Industry Certificate III or above in Veterinary Nursing Paid to Learn: for candidates who do not hold an appropriate VET teaching qualification or equivalent, you have the option to be paid to learn as you transition from industry to teaching with guaranteed work following successful completion of the 14 weeks Training and Assessment course. Those who already hold the appropriate teaching qualification or equivalent are still eligible to apply. Applicants for part-time positions should note that participation in the 14week PTL program requires full-time attendance of 35 hours per week throughout the 14 week program.
