You will be given the opportunity to manage your own workflow with the assistance of junior and intermediate staff enabling you to engage directly with clients across a diverse range of industries. The role allows for a level autonomy so any candidate would need to be a self-starter, a team player, and as you would expect, be capable of working to strict deadlines. You will have direct access to the audit partners within the firm who will work with you in completing engagements and as part of the global HLB network have access to resources, training and a professional support network. The role will for the right candidate, offer a long term opportunity and progression to a senior Audit Managers position. The Role - The position would typically involve the following tasks: Scheduling an audit program for multiple clients Undertaking audit planning meetings and preparing necessary documentation including audit strategies, engagement letters etc Setting up and completion of audit files (using CASEWARE software) Liaising with clients in relation to the audit program, audit matters and financial reporting Setting audit functions for junior staff, supervising and reviewing their work both in the office and at client premises Liaising with the Audit Partners in relation to finalisation of audit files and in regard to any audit matter Assisting other audit managers with engagements as necessary Preparation of audit closing reports and reports to board / directors Drafting of and assisting clients in the drafting of statutory financial statements The Successful Candidate Ideally be CA qualified with 6-8 years'' experience in external public practice audit and during this time at minimum having undertaken an assistant audit managers role for at least 12months Willing to work face to face onsite at clients premises and at our office (this is not a remote / WFH position) Display maturity when dealing with clients and staff Career focused in view of taking a leading role in the training and management of assistants and new intermediates Strong ability to apply audit standards through practical application; Possess an appropriate combination of technical expertise in fields such as auditing, finance, technology, operations, or investigations Possess a solid understanding and ability to apply risk and control concepts Possess good communication skills with an ability to identify sensitive issues and facilitate communications in an appropriate proactive manner Strong organisation and follow up skills including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all deadlines and commitments Ability to observe and understand business processes and be proactive in researching business best practice concepts in order to apply as appropriate Demonstrate an ability to work within and add positive contributions to a professional team . The final salary package will be negotiated (between $110,000 and $130,000 + superannuation) with the successful candidate based upon qualifications and experience.
