About the opportunity The Manager Training & Resources is responsible for leading the strategic planning, implementation and evaluation of capability-based training. The role strengthens volunteer Trainers and Assessor to ensure the sustainability of training delivery within the NSW SES. Working from a NSW SES Zone Headquarters (Rhodes or Dubbo), the Manager role undertakes functions to ensure that the Statewide Training and Exercise plan is successfully managed including stakeholder engagement, financial management, project planning, and governance. This role has direct reports that are geographically located across NSW. Some travel within Greater Sydney and NSW will be required for this position. About you You will have experience in managing a geographically dispersed team either in an emergency service environment or training organisation. Having a strong understanding of maintaining consultation with internal and external stakeholders is necessary to ensure professional, high-quality training delivery. The ability to problem solve, and plan in advance is an important factor of the role. To thrive you will be confident in providing training delivery advice and having some proven experience in the coordination of accredited training, including through flexible learning environments (face to face, virtual and hybrid delivery) will support the successful applicant in performing the role.
