Closes: 29 April 2026 Classification: Administrative Services Officer Class 6Salary: $102,657 - $116,592 plus superannuationPosition No: 69986Directorate: Canberra Institute of TechnologyAdvertised (Gazettal date): 22 April 2026Contact Officer: Cole George on or (02) 6207 4201 Details: Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) is seeking a highly motivated Executive Support and Special Projects Officer to join the Industry and Innovation Branch at a critical point of organisational change. Reporting to the Chief Industry and Innovation Officer, this role plays a central project management function in the transition of programs and operations from CIT Solutions to CIT. You will coordinate and deliver executivelevel projects that support business continuity, codesign of vocational programs, and achievement of transition outcomes. The role works across CIT and government stakeholders to manage complex deliverables, support change management and strategic communications, and ensure strong governance practices. You will provide highquality written advice, manage committee processes, and act as a trusted liaison to support timely, wellgoverned decisionmaking. Eligibility/Other requirements: Qualification in business, administration, communication, or related field is highly desirable. Minimum 3 years of high-level project coordination and administration experience. Demonstrated experience in governance, policy interpretation and stakeholder engagement. Notes: This is a temporary position available from 11 May 2026 to 31 December 2026 with a possibility of extension up 12 months and/or permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill identical vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
