About the team City of Gold Coasts Marketing and External Communication business unit connects the Gold Coast community with the Council Plan. We deliver effective communication, targeted promotion and strategic marketing that showcases the services, initiatives and programs that support a thriving city. About the role Are you passionate about driving engagement with impactful digital content? The Digital Marketing Content Leader is responsible for managing a team of specialists to deliver high quality, targeted and timely digital content for the City of Gold Coast. Your work will directly contribute to the development of effective strategies that engage and benefit our local community. This role bridges strategy and execution, using data and insights to drive meaningful interactions and increase engagement across social media, email marketing and websites. Collaboration will be central to your success. Youll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support City initiatives and foster strong, productive relationships. What youll be doing Manage and support a collaborative, high performing team, fostering a culture of safety, respect and wellbeing, and mentoring and developing the team to deliver high quality outcomes aligned to organisational priorities. Develop and deliver digital communication strategies, roadmaps and resourcing to strengthen customer engagement across channels. Coordinate the planning, creation and publishing of high-quality content across social, email and web platforms. Monitor and oversee social media channel management, to ensure proactive moderation and conversation builds strong communities. Develop and optimize email and newsletter programs, including personalisation and automated workflows to drive engagement. Analyse digital performance using analytics and insights to inform and adapt content and engagement strategies. What were looking for: A professional communicator who is analytical and collaborative, with proven digital marketing skills and a passion for delivering quality outputs that make a difference. Youll demonstrate a good understanding of marketing practices, and the ability to balance big-picture thinking with practical solutions. Minimum requirements: Bachelor Degree of Marketing and Communications or Digital Media or equivalent and relevant experience Minimum of 5 years digital marketing experience and 3 years people leadership experience, ideally working within a marketing team in a large, complex organisation Be part of shaping the Gold Coasts future The Gold Coast is inspired by lifestyle and driven by opportunity.
