The Embassy of Ireland, Canberra is seeking to recruit a housekeeper for the Official Accommodation of the Ambassador. This is a full time position, subject to a probationary period and will start as soon as possible. This role will be Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, with exact working hours negotiable. The position will require regular out of hours work in the evening/at the weekend and will be agreed in advance. The starting salary for the position will be $72,034 per annum with a salary scale rising up to a maximum of $81,280 per annum. The precise range of duties will vary over time, but will include the following: Overall management of the Official Accommodation; To assist with the organisation of functions and events at the Embassy; Service at dinners, lunches, receptions and other events as required, with arrangements in place; Cleaning of the Official Accommodation and Chancery; Coordination and liaison with Ambassadors EA on all issues related to the operation of the lease and general upkeep and functioning of the Official Accommodation; Liaison with maintenance team at the Embassy; and Other duties as required from time to time and directed by the Ambassador and Deputy Head of Mission as necessary. For example, upkeep of household plants, flower arrangements, laundry, ironing and maintenance of Ambassadors personal effects.
