Legal Administrative Officer, Ongoing opportunity based in Sydney CBD + hybrid working options availableOngoing, Full time OpportunityLocation: Sydney CBDHybrid working opportunity (3 to 4 days in office)Clerk Grade 5/6, Salary $99,938 - $110,271plus employers contribution to superannuation and annual leave loadingDCS is offering an opportunity for an energetic Administrative Officer who has experience with legal practice management systems and/or working in an administrative or paralegal role in an inhouse legal team. Reporting to the Senior Legal Administrative Officer, you will provide a range of high-level administrative services including reporting to facilitate delivery of business operations and to support the DCS Legal Litigation team to achieve organisational objectives. The role is diverse and requires a person who can prioritise and enjoys a fast-paced environment. DCS Legal provides a wide range of legal services across the DCS cluster including advice, the preparation of commercial agreements and other transactions, and litigation. Solicitors in the team work independently and with more senior lawyers to assist clients in relation to specific requests and projects.In this role you will be working in a fast-paced environment, with an emphasis on supporting the practice management of the Litigation team. You will work in collaboration with junior and senior solicitors and the admin team to support processes including matter management, reporting and archiving. Your key accountabilities include:Delivering a wide range of administrative duties to support the litigation teamSupport the solicitors in the team with a range of administrative functions including court filing, preparation of briefs and printingSupport the operation of a litigation case management system, and other systemsAssist with the management of diary appointments (including court diaries), records and correspondence, and scheduling and supporting meetingsAdvanced knowledge of Office 365 and other computer systems to be able to draft, format and amend documents within Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and other applicationsAssist with the management of financial payments and reportingMaintain and update administrative practices, systems and procedures to improve efficiency and service delivery outcomesTo be successful in this role you will demonstrate or hold:An understanding of legal practice management and/or inhouse legal practiceA collaborative approach with strong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to manage competing prioritiesSelf-starter with a willingness to learnWhat we need from you:To start your journey towards joining our team, please submit a covering letter (maximum two pages) and an up-to-date resume of no more than five pages which clearly details your skills and experience as relevant to this position.In your cover letter please share your motivation for applying for this positionA talent pool may be created to fill future ongoing or temporary opportunities.Salary Grade 5/6, with the base salary for this role starting at $99938 base plus superannuationClick Here to access the Role Description.
