Associate Director, Visitor Economy Priorities Join Destination NSW,thechampionand voice for the visitor economy within the NSW Government Clerk Grade11/12position with a salaryrange$149,739- $173,174per annum plus superannuation Ongoing rolelocatedin The Rocks, Sydney About the role The Associate Director,Visitor Economy Priorities leads the development and delivery of the NSW Aviation Strategy, NSW Jobs Growth Strategy and NSW Accommodation Strategy, aligned to the NSW Visitor Economy Strategy 2035. The role focuses on shaping practical, evidence-based strategies across aviation,accommodationand workforce growth to help achieve the States visitor economy targets. This includesidentifyingpriority markets and route opportunities to increase airline capacity, supporting long-term careers in the sector, and ensuring accommodation supply meets future demand. The Associate Director, Visitor Economy Priorities manages a team and oversees a significant program of strategic work, including data analysis, business casedevelopmentand funding administration. You will lead the aviation funding model, from setting criteria and assessing applications through to evaluation and reporting. Working closely with airports, airlines, educationprovidersand colleagues across government, you will also provide secretariat support to advisory committees and build strong partnerships to drive coordinated, state-wide outcomes for the visitor economy. Spearheading a whole-of-government approach to visitor economy growth, Destination NSW influences and shapes the visitor economy through strategic research, policy and thought leadership, stakeholder engagement and consultation, commercial partnerships and investment in visitor experiences, business support,marketingand events.
