The Role The Policy and Document Control Officer will support the Quality Risk and Compliance team to maintain a controlled, current and accessible policy and procedure framework that supports organisational governance, compliance, and safe, quality aged care and service delivery. Key Result Areas Policy Governance and Organisational Systems management Compliance, Audit and Evidence Readiness Policy Communication and Change Management Continuous Improvement Support Responsibilities Maintain the central policy and procedure repository, ensuring accuracy, version control, and document integrity. Administer document control processes including drafting templates, approvals, publication, archiving, and withdrawal. Ensure consistent application of naming conventions, formatting, document metadata, and classification. Manage document review schedules and expiry dates to ensure policies remain current. Track policy approvals, delegations, review cycles, and sign-off authorities. Provide compliance evidence and reports for audits, accreditation, and regulatory reviews. Support alignment of policies to legislative, regulatory, and accreditation frameworks Publish approved policies and procedures and manage communications regarding updates or changes. What Were Looking For Qualifications Minimum Certificate level qualification (Diploma preferred) or equivalent experience in: Business administration Governance Risk and Compliance Quality Management Experience Previous experience in working in an Aged Care Community Service Experience in quality management and continuous improvement systems Demonstrated computer skills including accuracy and numeric skills Managing a controlled document or policy repository Experience working in aged care or a regulated health/community services environment A working understanding of health and safety requirements relevant to the position Experience with SharePoint or other document management systems Understanding approval hierarchies, delegations, and review cycles Essential skills Well-developed written and verbal skills Understanding of and empathy with the needs of CALD communities Ability to engage with people and promote MiCare services Self-motivated and seeking professional growth Enjoy working within a team environment Exceptional interpersonal skills The ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner within an ethno-specific environment A preparedness to work to the 10 principles of the Eden Alternative philosophy.
