Youll play a central role in supporting people and their families through some of lifes most challenging moments.In this role you will:Deliver holistic palliative and end-of-life careSupport symptom management and advance care planning with patients and familiesTravel for outreach visits to surrounding rural communitiesWork closely with a multidisciplinary team including occupational therapists, social workers, dietitians, oncology specialists and community nursing teams to ensure coordinated careProvide culturally safe and respectful care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clientsThe role is largely community-based, with the service conveniently located close to town and free parking available.Due to the level of clinical judgement required, this role is not suitable for new graduates.Support and DevelopmentAlthough this is a role requiring independence, you wont be doing it alone. Youll receive a comprehensive local and virtual orientation, along with access to palliative care-specific education and online learning.A Clinical Nurse Consultant will provide ongoing guidance, and youll be connected to a strong regional palliative care network that encourages collaboration and knowledge sharing.
