About this Program The Psychosocial Support Service (PSS) is a program funded by the Commonwealth Government and commissioned through Primary Health Networks to provide psychosocial support services to assist people with living with severe mental illness. The Psychosocial Support Service (PSS) provides flexible one on one, and group supports focused on mental health recovery drawing on a whole of person approach, supporting individuals to work toward their mental health and social recovery goals. About the Opportunity The Team Leader will lead and support a team of Wellbeing Workers and Lived Experience Peer Workers to deliver high-quality, person-centred psychosocial support within the Psychosocial Support Service (PSS). This Commonwealth Government-funded program, commissioned through Primary Health Networks, supports people living with severe mental illness through flexible one-on-one and group-based services. Using a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and whole-of-person approach, the Team Leader will ensure participants are supported to achieve their mental health and social recovery goals while fostering a positive team culture and maintaining strong performance against KPIs.w In this role, you will provide leadership, supervision, and capacity building for staff, while coordinating care across clinical and community services to ensure seamless pathways for participants. You will collaborate with stakeholders, advocate for person-centred supports, and assist individuals and families to access services including primary health care, alcohol and other drug programs, education, employment, and housing. The role also involves facilitating group programs and one-on-one support when required, ensuring compliance with reporting and data collection requirements, and identifying service gaps to continuously improve service delivery. You will need: Relevant degree and experience in mental health, social work, or a related field, or an equivalent level of qualification and experience. Demonstrated experience working with people affected by mental health issues.
