Ongoing position available Total Remuneration Package Range starting from $247,865 $272,811 Your roleThe Commander, Womens Corrections Services leads a highstakes, specialist operational environment focused on delivering safe, consistent and highquality services for women across custodial and community corrections. You will shape statewide operational direction for the womens portfolio, provide expert custodial and rehabilitative advice, and influence critical decisionmaking across Corrective Services NSW.In this role, you will drive modern best practice in womencentred corrections, build workforce capability, lift performance and culture, and ensure strong financial and operational stewardship. You will lead a geographically dispersed and diverse service environment, delivering meaningful impact on the safety, wellbeing and reintegration outcomes of women in CSNSWs care.What youll doAs the Commander, Womens Corrections Services, you will: Lead the development and delivery of a statewide strategy ensuring safe, consistent and highquality services for women in custody and community corrections. Ensure rehabilitative, supportive and reintegrationfocused environments across all womens prisons and community settings. Oversee highquality security, custody and program delivery, ensuring efficient use of resources and achievement of operational outcomes. Provide strategic, tactical and operational advice on emerging risks, industrial matters, financial issues and complex operational challenges. Oversee budget performance, manage financial risks and optimise resource use across the portfolio. Mentor, support and performancemanage senior managers across womens centres to drive accountability, capability and culture. Lead continuous improvement, cultural development and evidencebased practice to enhance safety, wellbeing and reintegration outcomes for women. Identify opportunities for operational efficiency, statewide consistency and strengthened governance across womens facilities and services. Oversee compliance, ethical practice, operational reviews, business continuity planning and legal reporting obligations. Strong understanding of custodial and community corrections operations, particularly in relation to womens needs and rehabilitative practice. Proven ability to lead in highrisk, legally regulated and politically sensitive environments. Demonstrated capability managing competing priorities, operational complexity and significant internal and external stakeholder expectations. Strong strategic thinking skills, with experience contributing to operational strategies, reforms and continuous improvement initiatives. Highly developed communication, negotiation, influence and stakeholder management skills. Strong financial acumen and experience managing substantial budgets and resources.
