Lumina Care are currently seeking Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide quality care and support to clients across Tasmania. Casual Full-time / Part-time; with opportunities for Permanent roles Tasmania Competitive hourly rates plus superannuation and weekly pay Flexible shift allocations Supportive and collaborative team environment Consistent support from our friendly scheduling and care coordination team Rewarding work making a real difference in peoples lives You will be responsible for: Providing personal care assistance within clients homes including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and meal preparation/support Supporting clients with mobility, communication, and daily living activities to promote independence Participating in implementing and reviewing individualised care plans Following behaviour and therapy support plans for clients with dementia or complex needs Observing, documenting, and reporting changes in clients health or wellbeing to the care team Assisting with basic rehabilitation exercises and prescribed treatments under supervision Delivering person-centred care in line with Lumina Cares values and quality standards Maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment for all clients Other duties as required by the organisation and role To be successful in this role you will have: Certificate III in Individual Support and/or Certificate IV in Ageing Support Minimum of 6 months experience working in aged care or community care settings A roadworthy and registered vehicle with insurance and hold a current Australian drivers licence Willingness to travel reasonable distance and be willing to work various hours A genuine passion for supporting the elderly and individuals with diverse care needs Strong understanding of person-centred care and maintaining clients dignity and independence Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to demonstrate empathy with elderly residents The ability, and commitment, to uphold high standards of work Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) Current Police Check Full Australian working rights and up-to-date COVID-19 and flu vaccinations Visa Sponsorship Opportunities Visa sponsorship may be available for eligible candidates through our preferred migration partner, subject to meeting all relevant criteria under Australian immigration laws.
