We are currently recruiting for permanent and temporary Road Workers across Newcastle district to meet current operational needs.This Talent Pool will be used to fill permanent and fixed term opportunities (up to Aug 2027) as they become available in accordance with project and operational demands. This is a great opportunity to gain experiences in our Network Construction and Maintenance crews. These positions are located across Newcastle district.In this role you will: Deliver handson road construction work within live traffic and moving plant environments across Transport for NSW projects. Work safely and productively on roadbased construction sites, adapting to night works, weekend shifts and changing site conditions. Provide reliable labouring support to construction crews to keep projects moving and communities connected. For more information on this position and business unit, view the role description and Transport for NSW website.You will live within a 100 km radius from the appointed base (depot) and are prepared to work outside normal working hours, attend callouts, travel across the district and work away from home when needed.About you: You have construction or civil labouring experience and are available for night, weekend and workaway duties across local and regional project locations. Youre recognised as a hard worker who earns respect through effort, reliability and pulling your weight every shift. You bring experience working around traffic and moving plant on road projects to support safe, consistent construction outcomes. You must hold the following tickets/ Licence''s White Card Current drivers licence Traffic Control tickets and Truck Licence (Medium Rigid) up to (Heavy Rigid) are preferred but not essential.You must have previous experience as a Road Worker Grade 1- 3 level or related civil construction labouring experience.
