Position Overview:We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, dynamic and reliable individual to complete their four year Floor Covering Institute of Australia (FCIA) apprenticeship with our team. Your day-to-day duties will see you in a team responsible for the installation of floor coverings within the Southern Highlands and surrounding areas. What were looking for: - Good communication skills - A can-do attitude - Commitment to the four year apprenticeship - Physical ability This is a physical roll where you will be required to lift up to 20Kg. A large portion of the day will be spent kneeling. - Attention to detail Your day-to day duties will see you in a team responsible for the installation of floor coverings within the Southern Highlands and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced, solutions-driven role, with a customer-focused, team-oriented approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. The Apprenticeship: Your Path to Qualification We have partnered with theFloor Covering Institute of Australia (FCIA)to deliver this apprenticeship. The FCIA is the leading industry body dedicated to training the next generation of professional installers. Qualification:You will work towards aCertificate III in Flooring Technology. Training Excellence:Through theFCIA Training Academy (RTO), you''ll participate in structured training that combines online theory with practical, off-site workshops. Mentorship:You''ll be supported by FCIA trainers and our own experienced team to master everything from carpet and vinyl to timber and hybrid flooring. What You''ll Be Doing: As an apprentice, your days will be varied and active. You will learn to: Assess and Prepare:Evaluate subfloors and prepare surfaces for installation. Master the Tools:Use specialised equipment for cutting, stretching, and fixing materials. Install a Range of Products:Gain skills in laying carpet, vinyl, timber, and laminate. Customer Service:Represent Terry Bros Parkes professionally in residential and commercial settings.
