MANAGER REGIONAL PROGRAMS Join Destination NSW, the champion and voice for the visitor economy within the NSW Government Clerk Grade 9/10 position with a salaryrange$129,464 to $142,665 per annum plus superannuation Ongoing role located in The Rocks, Sydney About the role As Manager Regional at Destination NSW, youll help grow a strong, sustainable visitor economy across regional NSW. Youll work to deliver practical initiatives that support industry capability, strengthen regional tourism outcomes and contribute to the NSW Visitor Economy Strategy 2035.Youll build strong relationships with the states seven Destination Networks, local councils, tourism organisations and industry partners. Youll bring people together, manage different priorities and deliver programs that achieve consistent outcomes across regions. A core part of this role is leading the Business Events NSW program shaping business development activity and delivering flagship initiatives. Youll ensure the program is well-positioned, responsive to industry needs and contributes to increased visitation and economic benefit for regional NSW. Youll stay across trends in the regional visitor economy and business events sector, spot emerging opportunities and turn insights into clear recommendation helping NSW stay ahead. Youre comfortable working with ambiguity, thinking critically and using evidence to make practical decisions. Youll be a great fit if you bring: Experience partnering with stakeholders across regional NSW (including local government, tourism bodies and visitor economy businesses) to deliver shared outcomes. Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain productive relationships. Experience delivering projects across multiple regions keeping governance clear, people accountable and work on track. A practical approach to balancing state-wide priorities with local needs and adjusting your style to suit different audiences and contexts. Experience in business development or partnership-focused program delivery (ideally in tourism, events or a related sector). Youll be able to turn insights into practical actions and advice that stakeholders can use.
