Mount Barker Location Long Established Metal Fabrication Business This long-established manufacturer designs and builds a wide range of high-quality fabricated metal products for Australian and international customers. An opportunity has been created for an experienced Leading Hand to join a supportive, hands-on team producing premium fabricated products. Reporting to the Operations Manager and working closely with fabrication, assembly and logistics, you''ll lead by example on the tools while coordinating day-to-day workshop activity so jobs run smoothly, quality stays high, and everyone goes home safe. This is a great role for a trade-qualified welder who enjoys varietyworkshop leadership mixed with occasional field work and travel. Specifically, the role will involve: Lead from the frontcoordinate a small team of trades and apprentices to hit daily production targets Deliver high-quality galv and stainless welding and fabrication work and check finished jobs against drawings/specs Drive safe, efficient work practices Get variety in your work with occasional site installation/field worktravel and work away from home when required (including some weekends) To be successful in this role, you''ll bring: Minimum 3-5 years of Leading Hand/Supervisor experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment Confidence reading and interpreting drawings and producing consistent, high-standard work A current driver''s licence and genuine flexibility to travel/work away when required, including some weekend work Trade qualification as a Welder with solid manufacturing/fabrication experience If you''re ready to take the next step and lead a team that takes real pride in its work, we''d love to hear from you.
