This role is suited to a support worker who is organised, observant and comfortable supporting someone with complex health needs, including daily laryngectomy/stoma care and monitoring. There will be nursing oversite on the program, however day to day function will be managed by a support worker 7 days a week. Key Responsibilities Assist with daily tracheostomy/stoma care, cleaning and hygiene Monitor the tracheostomy site and airway wellbeing Support personal care Monitor wellbeing and identify early signs of health complications Assist with structured daily routines and personal health management Community access, taking participant out into the community socially and for appointments. Encourage safe community participation and engagement What You Bring Relevant experience within disability or aged care Strong communication and interpersonal skills Professional, reliable and participant-focused approach Ability to work independently Confidence managing manual handling Mandatory Requirements Familiar with laryngectomy/stoma care or airway management NDIS Worker Screening Check First Aid and CPR Manual Handling training Drivers licence and reliable vehicle If you are looking for flexible, consistent work with a team that values professionalism and quality care, we would welcome your application.
