Join the Maruma-li Inpatient Withdrawal Management Service and contribute to improving health outcomes for individuals experiencing substance use issues.About the OpportunityThis role is based within the Maruma-li Inpatient Withdrawal Management Unit at Wyong Hospital, part of the Central Coast Local Health District Drug and Alcohol Service. The position supports patients undertaking alcohol and drug withdrawal and other substance management, through evidence-based nursing care, monitoring and supportive treatment in an inpatient environment. In this role you will: Deliver safe, high quality nursing care to patients undertaking alcohol and drug withdrawal in an inpatient setting. Undertake comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing interventions to support recovery and wellbeing. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, external providers and carers to support coordinated patient care. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and reporting within electronic health record systems.For more information about this role, please view the Position DescriptionAbout YouWe are looking for someone who has: Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Demonstrated clinical experience working with people experiencing substance use issues and/or withdrawal. Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills including the use of clinical information systems. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritise workload in a dynamic environment.
