Position InformationOur inclusive school community with 325 students provides a well-rounded education that nurtures academic, creative, social, emotional, and physical growth. This cultural inclusivity is also reflected in our community language program.Three special education classes offer individualised programs for students with additional learning needs, ensuring access to quality education in both mainstream and support settings. This partnership helps our school stay responsive to community needs while maintaining excellence in all areas of student development.Selection CriteriaIn addition to the general selection criteria,A proven capacity to work and lead collaboratively as part of a team and effectively balance the dual role of an exemplary teacher and the complex responsibilities of an Assistant Principal.Demonstrated capacity to lead whole school initiatives and wellbeing programs that focus on the schools wellbeing framework, the enhancement of student experience, developing a sense of belonging and advancing student outcomes, including those identified as HPGE.A highly visible and approachable leader with strong interpersonal skills, promoting public education to build and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with all stakeholders.General Selection Criteria1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department''s Aboriginal education policyConditionsAn unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
