The Position The Liaison Officer plays a key role in supporting current and former Australian Defence Force veterans, their families and carers by creating a welcoming, inclusive and connected environment at the Goldsworthy Veterans & Families Centre. As the friendly face of the Centre, this role focuses on connectionhelping individuals feel supported, informed and engaged through meaningful relationships, social connection activities, and access to services that enhance wellbeing. This role is based at the Goldsworthy Veterans & Families Centre, Rockingham, and forms part of the Goldsworthy Veterans & Families Centre team. Please note: the Centre is currently under construction, and the successful applicant will temporarily be based at RSL WA on St Georges Terrace, Perth. Key Responsibilities This role will contribute to effective service delivery by: Providing professional, timely and clientfocused support in line with RSL WA policies and service standards Welcoming and engaging veterans, families and carers as a primary point of contact Supporting social connection activities and programs that encourage participation and wellbeing Working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes Maintaining accurate records, documentation and information in relevant systems Supporting daytoday operational, administrative and coordination activities relevant to the Centre Contributing to continuous improvement, quality outcomes and a positive workplace culture About You You are a committed and professional individual who: Aligns strongly with the values, purpose and mission of RSL WA and has a genuine desire to support veterans and their families Brings relevant experience in a community, wellbeing, support or customerfacing role Communicates clearly, respectfully and empathetically, with a strong focus on service and connection Works effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team Demonstrates sound judgement, accountability and the ability to manage sensitive situations Is adaptable and able to balance planned tasks with unplanned client needs in a dynamic environment You will also have, or be willing to obtain: A National Police Clearance A Working with Children Check (paid employment) A current Australian Drivers Licence Flexibility to work evenings and weekends on a semiregular basis, as required for Centre activities and events A passion for being active with a diverse range of hobbies and interests Why join RSL WA?
