About the Role Welcome to Sails Port Macquarie, a breathtaking 4.5-star waterfront hotel with 92 guest rooms and suites. Our spacious event venues, including a Wedding Chapel, along with our restaurant and bar, offer the perfect setting to unwind and rejuvenate. This role would be ideal for a GM who is looking to take on a larger hotel with a passion for driving excellences and can drive successful business and sales outcomes. Youll work closely with the Area GM and Owners on maximising the hotels revenue and occupancy. We are looking for a game changing General Manager that is hungry for their next big challenge! As our chief host and brand ambassador, youll be a visible, energising presence - shaping a hotel where regulars feel at home and unforgettable moments happen every night. This role is key to delivering EVTs Hospitality vision. Youll drive performance, inspire a high energy culture, and lead with purpose. Delivering exceptional service, driving revenue, and keeping operations running at their best, while leading with energy and purpose. Skills & Experience 8+ years of proven experience in a GM role coming from a high end 4 or 5 start resorts or Hotels. Experience dealing with managed hotels and working alongside owners that are present and involved in the hotels operation. Strong sales and operational background with a track record of achieving revenue growth and profitability. Proactive understand of Events, with a strong focus on weddings and marketing. Deep understanding of operational frameworks, risk mitigation, and WH&S compliance. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to be present, visible, and approachable across all areas of the business. Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams, drive engagement, and develop talent. Experience in managing budgets, forecasts, and Profit & Loss reports with strategic insight through data. Strong sales and customer experience mindset, with the ability to act as brand ambassador and chief host. Ability to foster community relationships and maintain strong stakeholder networks. Comfortable driving innovation and continuous improvement across service and operations. Committed to upholding company values, ethical standards, and corporate social responsibility.
