We are currently looking for a casual Goods Check & Yard Officer to join our Trade team at our Huonville store. If you have strong knowledge of timber and building products, a high attention to detail, and a proactive approach to inventory accuracy, then we would love to hear from you. This role focuses on checking goods and vehicles to ensure all products match documentation however there will also be the opportunity for the successful candidate to work in the yard team as required. Responsibilities: Check outgoing products against invoices & delivery dockets. Ensure all goods leaving the yard are paid for and match documentation Assist with receipting, unloading, and organising stock within the timber yard Maintain a clean, organised, and safe yard environment Support customers and trade clients with product collection and general enquiries Ensure all duties are carried out to a high safety standard Requirements: Strong knowledge of timber and building products (essential) Ability to work a varied roster including weekdays and weekends as required Forklift licence preferred but not essential (or willingness to obtain) High attention to detail and accuracy when checking documentation and stock Strong communication skills and confidence to question discrepancies Physical ability to lift and carry heavy items and work in an outdoor environment Prior experience in a timber yard, hardware, or construction-related role is highly regarded Excellent attitude to teamwork and a strong work ethic Ability to follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment At Clennetts Mitre 10, we are proud of our people and as an employee you will receive benefits including discount off in-store purchases, access to our EAP services and health & wellbeing program, recognition of service awards, and ongoing career development.
