We are seeking an enthusiastic Communications and Engagement Officer to support the development and delivery of highquality communications and engagement initiatives across the state. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to projects and programs that directly impact communities who are recovering from disasters, or need help preparing for future events. About the role TheCommunications and Engagement Officercoordinates and contributes to the production ofcontent across a variety of formats and channels as well as undertakes research and project development work thatassistsin delivering the agencys communications and engagement strategy. As the successfulcandidate, you will: Draft and produce a range of communications content and materials across various channels Support thedevelopment,implementation and coordination of communications and engagement activities Provide communications and engagement advice to a range ofprojects across the agency. The successful candidateis required tohaveability and willingness to travel within NSW and support other operational roles during disasters,emergenciesand other events, consistent with skills,backgroundand personal circumstances. About the AgencyThe NSW Reconstruction Authority (RA) is here to help communitiesbecome stronger,saferand more resilient to disasters. We drive and supportcommunity-centred recovery and lead the change that reduces the impactof future disasters. We work in partnership with communities, councils,stakeholdersand othergovernment agencies, to help people at risk of floods, storms,firesand otherhazards. Through planning and collaboration, we help reduce these risks andbuild resilience across NSW. When disaster strikes, we support emergency services and help plan andcoordinate recovery efforts. This includes working with local teams tocoordinate clean-ups, grants and funding and the restoration of essentialinfrastructure. We also guide long-term reconstruction and resilience ensuring communities rebuild stronger and are better prepared forfuture events.
