Reporting to the HR Director or WHS Lead, this is a key role responsible for ensuring compliant, high-quality HR practices that support a growing workforce delivering person-centred care across a 7-day operational model. PurposeLead the delivery of best-practice human resource supervision in a complex, compliance-driven NDIS environment. Support workforce capability, employee relations, and organisational culture to ensure quality outcomes for both staff and participants. Key Responsibilities Oversee end-to-end HR processes across the employee lifecycle (recruitment, onboarding, performance, development, and separation) Provide advice on SCHADS Award interpretation, workforce conditions, and employment legislation Ensure compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards, NDIS Code of Conduct, and relevant legislation Manage employee relations matters including performance management, disciplinary processes, grievances, and investigations Collaborate with leadership to support workforce planning, rostering frameworks, and staffing strategies in a 24/7 service delivery environment Lead and support recruitment strategies to attract and retain qualified workers Maintain HR systems, records, and reporting in line with audit and regulatory requirements Contribute to policy development, review, and implementation aligned with HHDS governance frameworks Coach and support leadership in HR best practice and people management Monitor training compliance (NDIS mandatory modules, screening, certifications) Promote a positive, inclusive, and safety-focused workplace culture 6 month part time contract with flexible schedule for work/life balance, in-office attendance required, no hybrid or remote working arrangements available Requirements Demonstrated commitment to the rights, inclusion, and empowerment of people living with a disability Strong knowledge of the SCHADS Award, Fair Work Act, and contemporary HR practices Proven experience in HR within the NDIS, community services, or human services sector Experience managing employee relations, investigations, and complex workforce issues High-level communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Pre-requisite and Ongoing Requirements Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business, or related discipline (minimum Bachelor level preferred) Minimum 35 years HR experience, including supervisory or advisory responsibilities Experience in the disability, aged care, or community services sector highly regarded Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDIS Risk Assessed Role) DHS Working With Children Check Current Australian Drivers Licence National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain) Working knowledge of: NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission requirements Workforce compliance obligations (training, screening, certifications) HR systems and reporting tools Desirable Postgraduate qualifications or industry membership Knowledge of psychosocial safety, WHS, and wellbeing frameworks Experience supporting audits and external compliance reviews Employer QuestionsYour application will include the following questions: What HR qualifications do you hold?
