Job description Alice Springs Youth Accommodation & Support Services (ASYASS) is a community-based organisation that provides accommodation, support and advocacy for homeless young people aged 13 to 17. As a Residential Support Worker, you will assist in a "Home" like environment. Assisting with supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes. Primary Objectives To provide safe, secure and a welcoming residential environment, staffed and operated 24hrs/7 days a week, to young people 13-17yrs who are homeless and / or in crisis. Offer support, advocacy and casework in a confidential and respectful manner that builds on young people''s strengths and abilities and encourages personal development including self-worth, resiliency, problem solving and basic living skills. Facilitate access to other essential services and programs such as health and education. Position is based on SCHCADSI Award and attracts substantial allowances for evening and some weekend work. Casual Support Worker roles are also available, and rates would attract casual loading. A position description is attached.
