The Drakesbrook Hotel is seeking a reliable, hands-on Maintenance & Yard Hand to join our team full-time. This is a varied role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, and has a strong practical skillset. About the Role:You will be responsible for the general upkeep and presentation of the hotel grounds, facilities, and accommodation areas. The role is diverse and includes both maintenance and yard duties to ensure the property remains safe, clean, and well-presented for guests and staff. Key Responsibilities: General property maintenance and repairs Yard work including mowing, gardening, and rubbish management Basic plumbing, carpentry, and handyman tasks Assisting with room and facility upkeep Monitoring and reporting maintenance issues Ensuring a clean, safe, and tidy environment at all times Supporting the wider team as required About You: Practical skills and experience in maintenance or a similar role Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Reliable, punctual, and hardworking Problem-solving skills and attention to detail Physically fit and capable of manual work Drivers licence preferred
