Our team is collaborative, respectful and committed to delivering safe, person-centred care in a supportive regional environment.About the RoleAs a Health and Security Assistant, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, clean and efficient healthcare environment.Your responsibilities will include:Assisting with patient lifting, transfers and personal care supportPerforming cleaning duties, including terminal cleans, in line with infection control standardsManaging linen removal and maintaining equipment and suppliesUndertaking portering duties including patient transfers and collectionsSupporting theatre cleaning and prioritising workloadAssisting with respectful transfer of deceased personsAdhering to WHS requirements and PPE guidelinesThis role supports patient flow, safety and high-quality service delivery across the hospital.About YouYou will demonstrate:Commitment to confidentiality and patient dignityKnowledge of cleaning procedures and infection control practicesEffective communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to work shift workPrevious experience in wardsperson, cleaning or patient care roles is desirable but not essential training will be provided.Support & DevelopmentYou will receive structured orientation and ongoing support from experienced managers and clinical leaders.
