In this role, you will support the optimal medication supply to ward areas and contribute to a wide range of pharmacy services, including dispensing, production, kit preparation and distribution. With stateoftheart facilities and a collaborative leadership team focused on innovation and staff development, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to highquality patient care within one of NSWs most progressive hospitals.Assist registered pharmacists in providing pharmacy services to inpatients and outpatients.Support medication supply to ward areas, including dispensing, production, kit preparation and distribution.Work effectively within a pharmacy team that values innovation, accuracy and exceptional patient care.Use pharmacy computer systems and strong communication skills to ensure efficient workflow and collaboration.Contribute to a positive, sociable and vibrant team culture focused on delivering exceptional patient experiences.Are You the Right Fit?We are seeking motivated Pharmacy Technicians with strong customer service skills, exceptional accuracy and the ability to multitask in a busy environment. You will be confident completing a wide range of technical and administrative pharmacy tasks while communicating effectively with colleagues and multidisciplinary teams.Maintain pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receipting, stock rotation, managing back orders and processing returns.Ensure timely and accurate imprest medication supply to wards, including unpacking, delivering and processing requisitions.Prepare and maintain documentation for resuscitation kits, sepsis kits and other required kits.Monitor and maintain temperature charts for Pharmacy fridges and freezers.Assist with dispensary duties, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of medications in accordance with regulations and policies.Selection CriteriaTo help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.Must hold appropriate qualification as per the Health Employees'' (State) Award for the following classifications: Pharmacy Technician Grade 1 - holds a qualification in a relevant field up to the level of Certification III in Hospital and Community Pharmacy OR Pharmacy Technician Grade 2 - holds a qualification in Certificate IV in Hospital Pharmacy and Community PharmacyDemonstrated effective written and oral communication skillsDemonstrated competency in dispensing, non-sterile production and distributionDemonstrated competency in using pharmacy computer systemsExperience with current Department and Area Health Service strategies to achieve and maintain the elective surgery key performance targets.Demonstrated ability to work both individually and in a team environmentDemonstrated time management skills and ability to prioritise work flowIf youd like more details, were here to help.Position InformationApplicants will be assessedagainst the criteria in thePosition Description.How to ApplyRead ourapplication guide and tips forimproving your application.Diversity, Culture & InclusionWe are proud to be an equal opportunity employer dedicated to accessibility and a supportive recruitment experience.
