Advance your specialist hand therapy skills in a major tertiary hospitalDeliver complex, evidencebased care with autonomy and clinical leadershipJoin a collaborative, valuesdriven team in Western SydneyManage complex hand therapy caseloads, deliver evidencebased care and build outcomes that restore independence at Westmead Hospital.Employment Type: Temporary Part Time (Up to 21st February 2027) Position Classification: Occupational Therapist Level 4 Remuneration: $63.81 - $65.35 per hour Hours Per Week: 14 Location:Westmead and Auburn Hospitals About the roleThis is a temporary part-time position within our Occupational Therapy department working as a Senior/Level 4 Occupational Therapist within the Hand Therapy team at Westmead Hospital. The Hand Therapy team is multidisciplinary and consists of both Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists working cohesively within the service. This position will be responsible for a clinical caseload consisting of treating patients in both an inpatient and outpatient setting, as well as supervising Level 1/Level 2 Occupational Therapists working within the hand therapy team. The caseload will be primarily trauma with a small component of treatment of chronic conditions. You will also work closely with the surgical and MDT team at outpatient hand clinics based at Auburn Hospital.We are seeking strong leadership in this space and there are various other roles and responsibilities you will have as a Senior clinician in our department.For example, will be responsible for supporting other outpatient Occupational Therapy services and staff in lymphoedema and scar management.Where you''ll be workingAt Westmead Hospital, our Occupational Therapy Vision is to empower through creative problem-solving, clinical excellence, and compassion.You will be joining our thriving Occupational Therapy team at Westmead Hospital, which is where you''ll experience a highly supportive department with a positive team culture.
