About the role: Based at Maitland Hospital, we are looking for a dynamic, motivated Midwifery Unit Manager (MUM) to oversee the day-to-day running of our brand-new model of Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) to include Home Birthing Services. This service provides continuity of midwifery care and support to low-risk women in the community throughout their pregnancy journey. With Home Birthing becoming a brand new offering from Maitland MGP, this is a highly sought after model of care that both the Registered Midwives and their patients enjoy. On any given day, you will be running multidisciplinary team meetings, triaging women, managing the maternity workforce through rostering and performance management, and being the point of contact between the MGP and the core Maternity Unit within the hospital. Youll be supported by the MUM within the hospitals maternity unit, as well as the education team and senior managers. Further support is provided by the Womens and Childrens Services team, who you will work closely with.
