Band 7 Salary: $105,483 to $118,035 + 12% super Permanent, full-time position with monthly RDO based in Drouin. Contribute to the safety of our community and the amenity of our municipality. We are seeking a Coordinator Planning Compliance who is an experienced leader and committed to the delivery of our proactive and responsive Planning Compliance service. To learn more visit www.bawbawshire.vic.gov.au About the Role As the Coordinator Planning Compliance, you will: Manage the daily operations of Councils Planning Compliance service. Coordinate and oversee enforcement activities of the unit to ensure compliance with the Planning Scheme and relevant legislation, and to ensure that Councils statutory obligations are effectively administered. Provide leadership and develop staff to succeed in a busy regulatory environment. Build strong relationships across the organisation and with external stakeholders to assist in the delivery of Councils Plan and strategic initiatives by ensuring land use and development is lawful. About the Successful Candidate We are looking for an individual with a tertiary qualification in Statutory Planning, Planning Law or equivalent with relevant experience; or demonstrated extensive experience in leading regulatory or planning teams preferably in a local government environment. You will have strong technical knowledge and experience in application of planning legislation combined with law enforcement procedures and demonstrated experience in managing investigations.
