Position Description Service Pit & Pipe Installer Company: Proline WA Position Summary Proline is seeking an experienced and reliable Service Pit & Pipe Installer to join our civil construction team. This role is hands-on and critical to the delivery of underground services across our projects. You will be responsible for installing power, NBN and associated service infrastructure to a high standard, working closely with operators, supervisors and the wider crew to deliver safe, efficient and quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities Install underground services including: Power mains and service connections NBN Open trench for gas installation Install service pits, junctions, risers and associated infrastructure Read and interpret construction drawings, set-out information and levels Carry out trench preparation including: Bedding Pipe laying Backfilling and compaction Ensure correct grades, alignment and levels are achieved at all times Work alongside and with excavator operators to safely and efficiently install services Assist with testing and commissioning of services (pressure testing, inspections, etc.) Identify and communicate any issues, clashes or required variations early Maintain a clean, organised and compliant worksite Safety & Compliance Follow all Proline safety procedures, SWMS and site requirements Maintain strong awareness of underground services (DBYD) and exclusion zones Report hazards, incidents and near misses immediately Ensure trench safety and compliance at all times Wear and maintain appropriate PPE Skills & Experience Proven experience in civil construction, specifically underground services Strong understanding of pit & pipe installation methods and standards Ability to read and work from plans and levels Experience working in and around trenches and excavation works Ability to work effectively within a crew environment Excavator experience.
