Investigate and respond to infectious disease notifications, outbreaks and foodborne illnesses Deliver evidence-based public health advice to clinicians and community stakeholders Implement disease control strategies in line with NSW legislation and guidelines Participate in public health research, working groups and continuous improvement initiatives Contribute to the after-hours on-call roster and ongoing professional developmentHow to ApplyApply online by submitting your resume and addressing the criteria listed below by providing examples that demonstrate your ability before the closing date.Essential Criteria: Registration: Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Selection Criteria:1. Demonstrated knowledge of current issues in communicable disease and experience in communicable disease control2. Demonstrated recent experience working in Public Health or Infection Control3. Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor other staff4. Demonstrated organisational and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team5. Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills6. Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with the public, Health Professionals, Aged Care Facilities and other stakeholders external to the Public Health Unit7.
