The Palliative Care Registrar is based at Neringah Hospital and provides palliative care reviews to patients in an inpatient setting, and workswithin the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare to ensure that medical clinical care is provided to inpatients of the Palliative Care service, under the supervision of the Specialist-in-charge.HammondCare is a NSW Health-affiliated organisation all NSW Health transferrable entitlements will be recognised.The essence of this roleProvide in-patient care to people admitted to the Palliative Care unitLiaise with other members of the multi-disciplinary team in providing patient careMaintain an appropriate standard of personal professionalism at all times and in all activities undertakenImplement a personal learning program for the term in conjunction with their Specialist SupervisorParticipate in after-hours care of palliative care inpatientsAbout youEssentialUnrestricted NSW Medical Board Registration or eligibility for Unrestricted NSW RegistrationPrimary Medical degree, eligible for Medical Board registration, and a minimum of two years supervised practice as an RMOExperience in Palliative Medicine preferred.Strong administrative and computer skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamCurrent Drivers LicenseDemonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a teamOrganisational ability both personal organisation and ability to supervise othersDemonstrated compassion and caring attitude.DesirableAdvanced palliative medicine trainee (RACP, AChPM) or other Accredited trainees (eg other specialities, general practice)Previous training in oncology (medical or radiation) or other relevant specialitiesExperience in medical research and quality assuranceExperience in undergraduate and postgraduate teachingWorking towards post-graduate qualifications in Palliative Medicine (including a palliative care diploma) or related specialtyBenefits - What are we offeringMarket-leading remunerationSalary packaging; $9,010 annually for living expensesAdditional training & career development opportunitiesLeave benefits purchased additional annual leave.Reward and Recognition ProgramFitness Passports: Full facility access can include gyms, group classes and pools for yourself and your family.Free independent, confidential counselling services, wand wellbeing resources available through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you & your family.Exclusive discounts at MyCar; Servicing, Brakes, Repairs, and Tyre Care PlansExclusive commercial discounts for JB HI-FI, The Good Guys, Optus, Dell and SamsungReady to make a change?
