About the role This is an exciting opportunity for a Site Supervisor to join the team at ProGroup Management Pty Ltd in Southern NSW (home base could be from Wollongong to Nowra). The Site Supervisor is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of site-based operations across construction projects, primarily within NSW Schools Infrastructure programs involving the removal, transport, installation, and commissioning of demountable buildings, as well as other major construction projects. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role provides on-the-ground leadership to ensure works are executed in accordance with contractual requirements, project schedules, HSEQ legislation, environmental obligations, and ProGroups Integrated Management System (IMS). The Site Supervisor coordinates site activities, subcontractors, and resources while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring minimal disruption within live school and high-risk construction environments. The role plays a critical part in translating operational plans into practical outcomes on site, managing people, safety, quality, and performance to achieve contractual KPIs, client satisfaction, and continuous improvement outcomes. What you''ll be doing Operational Leadership & Service Delivery Overseeing end-to-end operational delivery for the NSW Demountable Decommissioning, Transportation & Commissioning contract. Ensuring all works are completed to the required standards, within timeframes, and in compliance with contractual KPIs. Leading operational planning, resource coordination, and scheduling across multiple teams and regions. Ensuring adequate staffing, training, materials, information, and equipment are available to meet contract specifications. Contract & Subcontractor Management Overseeing subcontractor performance, ensuring current agreements, insurance, and compliance documentation are maintained. Negotiating and implementing new subcontractor agreements annually. Managing operational budgets, productivity targets, and service-level requirements. Ensuring accuracy in claims, variations, invoices, and contract-related financial documentation. Operational Readiness & Peak Demand Being available during peak periods (school holidays) and emergency situations to support operational demands. Attending early-morning crane, transport, or mobilisation activities when required. What we''re looking for Proven experience in an operational leadership role within the Building & Construction industry (preferably government or demountable building programs). Demonstrated experience managing project teams, field teams, contractors, and subcontracted labour. Strong understanding of WHS legislation (NSW WHS Act & Regulation 2017), environmental requirements, and quality assurance processes. Experience delivering contract-based services with strict KPIs, reporting requirements, and client performance metrics. Experience within modular/demountable building operations. Valid White Card, Drivers License and Working with Children Check. Given nature of work within schools, annual leave is not approved during school holidays, including the December/January period. Medical Assessment required for this role.
