As a CSO, youll be a voice for children and young people, ensuring their safety and wellbeing under the Child Protection Act 1999. Youll: Work closely with families, caregivers, and community organisations Deliver statutory child protection services, including assessment, intervention, casework, and case management Attending court and writing affidavits Working with partner agencies and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community organisations Provide safe, culturally informed, and respectful support to families from diverse backgrounds This is challenging work but its also deeply rewarding. What you need to be a CSO To join us as a CSO you will need: A Bachelor Degree in, Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or in a related field with further study or work experience please click here for more details on qualifications An Australian Drivers License, and the legal right to work in Australia Knowledge of the Child Protection Act 1999, and the ability to write case notes Strong communication and relationship-building skills As part of your application, you will need to provide certified evidence of your qualifications, working rights, and drivers license.
