Location:Rockingham/Southern River or the surrounding areas About the Role: We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our team. The successful candidates will work with clients requiring ventilated or tracheostomy care. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of those with complex medical needs. Nursing students or those with a nursing background are encouraged to apply, as this experience is highly advantageous. Key Responsibilities: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) Provide PEG feeding and manage dysphagia Deliver ventilated and tracheostomy care Participate in night shifts (active/sleep) Facilitate community access and engage in rehabilitation therapy with clients Drive clients as needed (driving experience is an advantage) Show compassion and genuine interest in working with clients with disability support needs What We Offer: A progressive and nurturing work environment Competitive wages negotiated based on experience Free parking Ongoing training, including specialized training in ventilated and tracheostomy care Essential Requirements: Certificate III or IV in Individual Support/Disability/Aged Care Tracheostomy and Ventilator Competency Competency in PEG feeding Experience working with quadriplegic clients is desirable Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team Willingness to problem-solve and take initiative Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Well-developed assessment and report writing skills Current Influenza Vaccination Current NDIS Clearance or willingness to obtain one Experience in Residential Aged Care and/or Disability care is desirable Current First Aid, CPR and Manual Handling certification Application Process: If you are passionate about working in disability care, skilled in ventilated or tracheostomy care, and ready to make a positive impact, we would love to hear from you.
