The Role: This role involves visiting participants in their own homes, supporting them with community access, or engaging in various individual and group activities at our respite facilities. Services may include depending on qualification: Personal care such as assisting with showering, other personal support and providing medication assistance Unaccompanied shopping, accompanied shopping and meal preparation Performing light housekeeping Respite and social support, providing companionship and connection Community access, transportation to appointments and social outings We are looking for people with these qualities: Value the rights of older people Reliable and trustworthy An effective communicator Compassionate with a positive attitude Enjoy delivering high quality customer service Ability to work independently Previous caregiving experience is an advantage Applicants must hold (or obtain through recruitment process): Australian Federal Police clearance (no disclosable outcomes) First Aid Certificate, including CPR Certificate III Individual Support Ageing or Disability (or equivalent qualification) Assist Clients with Medication training (desirable) Drivers Licence, with safe driving record Copy of Uncertified Driving record from Services NSW Current car registration & insurance Working with Children Check Clearance Hours and Shifts Available: As a Care Staff casual pool employee, you will be available to cover both planned and unplanned leave for our permanent workforce. Ideally, youll have a flexible schedule with the availability to work 2 or more days per week. Including being available to be called in to work at short notice. The majority of our services operate Monday to Friday with peek staff requirements between 8am to 5pm. This role would be ideal for someone looking for some extra income, while having a positive impact on the lives of older people. Future Permanent/Part time vacancies may be filled from the casual pool.
