This role is well suited to someone who values professionalism, discretion, and patient-centred care, and who takes pride in keeping systems running smoothly behind the scenes. About the role: You will be the first point of contact for patients and play an important role in creating a seamless and welcoming experience. Working closely with our clinical team, you will support the day-to-day operations of the clinic while maintaining the high standards our patients rely on. This position supports a telehealth service providing high-quality, patient-centred care across Tasmania and the mainland. The role will commence with guaranteed base hours of 9:00 am to 11:00 am, Monday to Wednesday. In addition to these hours, we require someone who is flexible and available to take on additional ad hoc shifts as needed. This includes: covering full days (9:00 am to 5:00 pm) at short notice when other staff members are unwell covering planned annual leave increased hours during school holidays and peak periods As the clinic continues to grow, there is a strong expectation that this role will expand in both hours and responsibility. This is an opportunity for someone interested in growing with the clinic, with potential to progress into a Practice Manager role over time. Key responsibilities: managing incoming calls, emails, and patient enquiries booking and coordinating telehealth appointments processing payments and issuing invoices maintaining accurate and confidential patient records using Best Practice for patient management and clinical workflows preparing and managing documents and templates via HotDocs liaising with doctors and staff to support clinic flow assisting with general administrative tasks About you: must have experience using Best Practice and HotDocs confident using practice management software and digital systems excellent communication skills with a warm and professional manner strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks sound understanding of patient privacy and confidentiality requirements able to work independently in a remote environment highly flexible and available for short-notice shifts, holiday cover, and increasing hours over time interested in long-term growth within a supportive healthcare team Requirements experience with BP and Hotdoc own computer suitable for remote work reliable internet connection own phone private workspace suitable for remote work What we offer a role designed to grow in both hours and responsibility flexible, remote-friendly work arrangements a supportive and respectful team culture the opportunity to grow with an expanding clinic potential career progression into a Practice Manager position Applications will be reviewed as received, with the position available to commence in the coming weeks.
