About the role Band 4 - base salary from $99,189 per annum (plus super) - total package to be negotiated with preferred candidate based on skills and experience Are you passionate about keeping business-critical systems running smoothly? Join TasNetworks as an Application Support Engineer and play a key role in delivering reliable, secure, and innovative technology solutions that support Tasmanias energy future. As an Application Support Engineer, youll provide expert technical support, administration, and coordination for a range of enterprise applications. Youll manage incidents, service requests, changes and problems. You will perform root cause analysis, ensure compliance with cybersecurity and service standards and contribute to system enhancements. Your work will directly impact our operational effectiveness and customer service delivery. Youll also support continuous improvement by maintaining documentation, assisting the Service Desk, and helping implement innovative solutions that align with TasNetworks'' strategic direction. This role includes participation in an on-call roster, providing critical after-hours support when needed, and can be based at any of our major depots across Tasmania. About you Youre a technically capable and adaptable professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You have experience working with enterprise systemsideally SAPand bring strong analytical and communication skills. Youre also proactive, solutions-focused, and able to juggle competing priorities with confidence. Youll also bring: Demonstrated experience supporting complex IT systems in a business-critical environment Hands-on experience with M365 and associated enterprise technologies (desirable) ITIL training or certification Strong problem-solving, diagnostic, and decision-making abilities Ability to manage workloads, meet deadlines, and deliver results Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills A team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement What''s on offer This is a permanent opportunity, based out of any of any of our major depots Lenah Valley, Rocherlea or Devonport depot, offering an attractive remuneration and benefits package.
