Talent Focus are recruiting on behalf of a secondary campus in the Warragul area for a Hard Materials Teacher to commence in Semester 2. This is a full-time teaching role covering a long service leave contract through to the end of the year, with the potential to transition into an ongoing position in 2027 for the right candidate. The successful applicant will deliver a fully implemented curriculum across a range of year levels, including: Year 78: Hard Tools and Woodwork Year 9: Wood and Metal Year 1112: Advanced Product Design and Technology, including use of tools, resin, and plastics This role does not include a VET component.We are seeking a passionate and skilled teacher with strong practical knowledge of hard materials, who can deliver engaging and hands-on learning experiences. The ability to manage a full teaching load, support student learning, and work collaboratively within a team is essential. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and structured lessons across Years 712 Maintain a safe and productive workshop environment Support student development through practical, project-based learning Work collaboratively with staff to support curriculum delivery Key Requirements: Relevant teaching qualifications and registration (or eligibility) Strong knowledge and experience in Hard Materials / PD&T Ability to teach across a range of year levels Excellent communication and classroom management skills VIT Registration with Full Australian working rights If you are an enthusiastic educator looking for a rewarding opportunity in a supportive environment, we would love to hear from you.
